It is Craig Ferris’ first season as head coach for the Wyoming Indian Chiefs. “It is going to be a great year,” he predicts. With a new coaching system and a new coach, he is hoping the Chiefs will make up for the rather disapointing season they had last year. “There is only one way to look,” he says, “and that is up.”
The Chiefs will welcome back veteran players Steve White, Gerald Bonds, and Toby Littlethunder, all of whom should add a vital leadership to the team.

Like the other coaches in the South Conference, Coach Ferris is watching out for Lyman. "It is going to be a tough conference with the addition of Lyman," he warns. This being his first year as head coach, Ferris feels as if he is still playing catch-up on the teams to watch in the state running, as well as which players look as if they will have promising seasons. But, he looks forward to finding out as he goes up against some very challenging teams this season.
