"The Bobcats have huge shoes to fill, with a run of three straight title appearances," comments Thermopolis' new head coach, Greg Herold. Living up to a legacy of excellence is always a challenge, but it is often one that is met with zeal and determination.

The Bobcats are looking at a strong lineup of returning players. Chances are, the leadership of seasoned guard Riley Whitt and post Matt McLachlin (both seniors) will help the squad live up to expectations. "Whitt and McLachlin played extensively on last year's squad, and will be called upon to lead," confirms Coach Herold. Other returning players include Senior wing Mat Cordingly, senior guard Karsten Milek, and senior guard Brett Armstrong.

This is the Bobcat's third head coach in three years. Coach Herold hopes the young men can adjust to the new system early, and blend it with what they already know to give them an edge. They will also have to blend well with the new players coming in. It's all about adjusting, accommodating, and integrating this year.
Coach Herold agrees with most of the coaches in the conference, saying the teams to watch this year are Buffalo and Douglas. He thinks Chris Prozinksi from the Buffalo team and Tate Anderson and Blake Rickendiefer from Douglas will be hot this year.
