This could be a tough season for the young Shoshoni Wranglers. They moved from 1A to 2A, a change that is significant, considering 2A holds strong competitors like Lovell, Greybull, Rocky Mountain, and Riverside, all of whom Coach Reid has his eye on. "It's a tough conference," he says. With only three returning starters this year, the team could be a little short on leadership, but they aren't letting that discourage them.

Coach Rick Reid is in his first year of coaching at Shoshoni, though he is drawing from his twenty-five years of coaching experience to help this inexperienced team. The Shoshoni quad is coming off a 2-19 season last year. "We are just trying to improve and get better, and take it day by day," says Coach Reid of his team. "We're a young team," he admits, "but we're improving."
