The Lady
Wolverines of Riverton are looking to improve over last season's
5-17 record. They have a large number of returning players of give
them an added edge for the 2005-2006 season. Among the veteran players
are All-Conference pick Kati Quayle (senior), and returning starters
Talya Dewey (junior), Lauren Roberts (junior), and Jeri Jacobson
(sophomore). The Lady Wolverines are also welcoming back Megan Root
(senior), Kayla Dvergsdal (senior), Torri Watson (junior), Carrie
Vodopich (junior), Capella Morris (junior), Lauren Quayle (sophomore),
Amber Rambo (sophomore), and Stephanie Skinner (sophomore), all of
whom are letter-winners. The ladies from Riverton have a depth to
their team this year that could make them tough to beat. "The
girls had a good off-season," says their coach Reggie Miller, "and
[they] improved their skills and understanding of the game."
"As usual, the North Conference will be extremely tough," the third
year coach cautions, "Gillette, Cody, and Sheridan return experienced teams
from last year, and Natrona and Kelly Walsh will field good teams." It should
be interesting to watch these seasoned teams go up against each other.
Coach Miller
puts Lady Wolverine Kati Quayle on the top of his list of players to watch.
He also has his eye on Stephanie Stender of Sheridan, Megan Mordeci
or Gillette, and Lyndi Neville of Cody. |
